Director Education - Swaranaad

Mrs. Raksha Vinay Deshpande, holding a Master of Arts in Psychology, a Diploma in Deaf Education, and a Master in Music, serves as the First Woman Trustee of Ashwin Medical Foundation Moraya Hospital.

In 1998, she commenced her journey as a Special Educator at Cochlea Pune, eventually becoming the first teacher and starting with just one child. Presently, she serves as the Education Director of ‘Swaranaad Rehabilitation Centre’ and ten other Cochlea centres and treasurer of Cochlea Pune for Hearing and Speech..

Her commitment to Home-to-Home training and emphasis on Parent Counselling has earned her various accolades, including:

  • 1st Prize for the paper “Home to Home Training” and a Special Prize for “Best & Innovative Presentation” in NCED.
  • “Best Teacher Award” from Rotary Club of Pune Shivajinagar.
  •  “Yuva Gaurav Puraskar” by PCMC for her outstanding work in the Rehabilitation of Hearing-Impaired Children.
  • “Lokmat Sakhi Sanmaan.”
  •  Author of the book “Yes Every Deaf Child Can Speak,” published in Marathi, English, and Hindi.

 

Awards received by Mrs. Raksha Deshpande :

  • Recognition at the India Prime Women Icon Awards 2022.
